The Kamara Yokie Innovation Center (KYIC) is a first of its kind youth-owned and youth-led Innovation Center in Sierra Leone, which aims to create a safe multi-cultural space where innovators, creative minds, and problem solvers come together to create solutions to pressing challenges affecting local people. Through a human-centered problem-solving methodology, KYIC leverages 21st-century entrepreneurial leadership and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education principles to unlock the latent potential of young minds.
Our Vision
Our Vision is to mentor, support, and promote African Innovation by creating an enabling, safe, and standard space to harness the power of innovations on the continent, empowering youth with STEM education and entrepreneurial skills for a prosperous future.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build a generation of creative thinkers and problem solvers by 2030. Through STEM education digital literacy training, we are tackling the current global STEM skills shortage among Sierra Leonean Students and beyond.
